What better way to encourage people to explore vegetarian eating than offering free samples of delicious animal-friendly fare? That’s why COK hosts a vegan feed-in each month, in various locations around the D.C.-area (time & day also varies each month). In addition to serving free vegan food, we’ll also be distributing literature, including the hot off the press twelfth edition of The Vegetarian Guide to Washington, D.C. and Surrounding Areas!
June’s feed-in will be held on the National Mall during the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. This is one of Washington, D.C.’s most popular summer events, and last year we distributed 1,800 pieces of literature in less than an hour! Join us and help us top that number as we offer festival-goers free samples of orange “chicken” and encourage them to transition to a more compassionate diet.
