Farm Sancuary Benefit Wrap Up

Last night Farm Santuary had a benefit in DC, Party For The Pigs. A benefit for 69 pigs that where rescued in the Iowa floods. There was a great turnout! The party was hosted at the Equality Center, which is a beautiful building, off of Rhode Island Ave. The event was catered by Java Green and several others, which was super, always love me some Java Green. Farm Santuary had video and a wonderful slideshow of the pigs that were rescued. Nellie McKay also played a few of her songs which are always great. I am not sure if Farm Santuary reached their goal of $30,000 but I know they were close. Overall it was a wonderful night and it was great to see so many people come out to support Farm Santuary.

Woodstock Farm Benefit

On September 20th, Nellie McKay & Dan Piraro will be combining their talents for a one night only event at the Colony Café (Because while the Colony Café isn’t a vegan establishment, the restaurant will be veganizing their menu for the event.) in Woodstock, NY to benefit the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. So what do a soulful cabaret singer and a hysterical cartoonist have in common? THEY’RE BOTH ALL ABOUT THE VEGANISM!

The evening is hosted by the Mid-Hudson Vegetarian Society (MHVS) and tickets are just $20.
